I have semi-retired, work during "tax season" doing per deim work (returns and reviews) and maintain a small practice of clients some i have worked with for over 20 years. I will be looking for a firm to do per deim work this coming season in the Phoenix East Valley area. I am courious as to which tax S/W you use, do you scan and save data digitally, and do you use cell "smart phones" and for what purpose.

I'm keeping fairly busy with the clients that I've had for several years but getting new clients this year has not been easy. I've done little projects here and there but most don't want to commit to anything longer than cleaning their books up, just so they can mess them up again :) I've been networking to try to find new clients but it's been tough.

Some are busy and some are not. Consultants must keep up there marketing efforts. Its all in the numbers. Everyone is holding on to their bucks. Actually the economy has become an excuse for not doing whar they shoud do. I deal in financial forecasting which is extermely important in thes time and its like pulling a tooth to get people to focus. See http://budgetingsoftware.biz.

Has anyone noticed an uptick for consulting projects in the last couple of weeks?
