The National Conference of CPA Practitioners (ncCPAp) Summer Education Conference will be held on August 4, 2011 at the Sofitel Hotel in Philadelphia, PA.  The conference will feature educational programs on accounting and tax issues and updates, plus a special two hour seminar on how to market, grow and manage your Certified Public Accounting (CPA) practice.  In conjunction with the IRS, a "Practitioner Case Resolution" program will be offered.  This program provides the chance to resolve client issues through the Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS), a program that has been very successful in New York. 

The conference starts with registration at 7:45 am.  An accounting and auditing update in the non public environment will be presented beginning at 8:00 am foilowed by "Current Issues in Taxation" at 10:10am.  At 11:55 am we will have a one hour discussion on "Mining QuickBooks for CPAs" along with lunch.  Starting at 1:10pm we will have a two hour MAP presentation covering "Developing a Strategic Marketing Plan and Managing your Office for Results."  The conference will conclude with a two hour discussion on "Current Issues in Accounting and Auditing"

This conference will be a great opportunity for CPAs and practitioners from throughout the Delaware Valley to obtain five hours of Accounting and Auditing, two hours of Tax and two hours of MAP CPE.  We look forward to your attendance.

Saw yesterday the Sen Baucus Chair Sen Fin Comm is going to hold hearings to discuss Tax reform in Mar/Apr.  Reached out to contact as Sen Fin Comm to tell him to delay toafter Apr so that they can talk to people who ACTUALLY PREPARE tax returns.

The Nassau Suffolk Chapter of the National Conference of CPA Practitioners held another successful Tax Practitioners Symposium at the Crest Hollow in Woodbury, NY in November. Our chapters in Westchester/Rockland, Northern New Jersey, South Boston, Florida, Nassau Suffolk, New York City and our newest chapter in the Deleware Valley are holding interesting sessions in December. On January 4, 2011 we will hold a four CPE credit seminar updating our members on the upcoming IRS Form 1099 issues and TIGTA seminar at our National conference being held at the Boca Raton Renasaince. Our chapters will be helping our members gear up for tax season with exciting meetings which will be held in both January and February, 2011. Thanks for doing all this work lana....hopefully it will catch on...and I definitely think it is the way to reach the younger generation of CPAs
