Thanks Edith. I also found out that NYSSA (NY CFA Chapter) has a derivatives committee that covers accounting issues and are always looking for a speaker.
However, it still looks like we need to start a pure derivative acctg association in the area.
Although not an accounting association, the International Swap Dealers Association (ISDA) has a NY office and has some programs coming up in NYC, http://www.isda.org
Does anyone know of any derivative accounting organizations/associations in the NY tri-state area? Since the JDA shut down, who's filling the gap? ...Am wondering if I have to start a group...
All ideas welcome.
